Event Description

2018 Northeast Mid-Atlantic Agroforestry Webinar Series presents: Tree Fodders in Silvopasture

Presented by: Steve Gabriel (Cornell Extension, Small Farms Program)

Often timber is the focus of silvopasture literature, but the benefits of shade, shelter, and especially animal fodder offer a range of opportunities for animal health and nutrition. Join us for a presentation on the best fodder species and management practices for the cool temperate climate, along with strategies to establish and maintain them..

Steve Gabriel is Agroforestry Extension Specialist for the Cornell Small Farms Program and the author of SILVOPASTURE (2018). He co-owns and stewards Wellspring Forest Farm in the Finger Lakes Region of NY alongside his wife Elizabeth, where they produce pastured lamb, duck eggs, maple syrup, mushrooms, and elderberry, all from agroforestry systems.

I could not make the webinar today.  Is there a recording, and if so, how do I access it?  Thanks!  Diane Mayerfeld
