DESCRIPTION:The Riparian Forest Buffer Workshop and Tour will feature 
 Dr. Bernard Sweeney from the Stroud Water Reseach Center. Bernard will
  cover the ecology of riparian buffers and their water quality benefit
 s.  David Wise, also from the Stroud, will cover the pratical applica
 tion of buffer designs, tree/shrub planting, use and mangement of tree
  tubes for herbicore protection. Dr. Don Leopold, from SUNY ESF, will
  discuss native tree/shrub selections. Other great speakers will disc
 uss topics such as establishing and maintaining trees/shrubs in ripari
 an areas, nursery stock care, seed collection and handling, as well as
  a tour of the USDA NRCS BIg Flats Plant Materials Center's studies in
