Hello folks!

I'm looking for the best ways to get trees into active pastures, while having livestock grazing. I haven't yet found an option that is cheap, effective, and low-maintenance enough to really qualify for large-scale plantings.

I'm also interested in what folks have tried, and what has worked/not worked.

Here are the current best options I see:

Fool-proof but expensive: Arbor Shield

Great for sheep farms: Tree Tubes. Plantra systems would be my go-to

For rotational grazers: Short shelters (something like this) and portable electric fence. Can inexpensively protect a whole row of trees. Drawback is that you have to commit your paddocks to just that size to protect your tree lines.

What have you found to work or not?
