Event Description
The Barbours have a cow/calf herd and retain calves for grass finish at 18-20 months using high density grazing. They worked with neighoring landowners enrolled in the CREP program to graze contract acreage under emergency provision in 2012 with great success. Mike Sherman, Executive Director of the Lycoming County USDA-FSA , will be at the meeting to discuss requirements for adding routine grazing provisions to CREP contracts.
