Buck Holsinger of Holsinger Homeplace Farms is a progressive cattleman in the Shenandoah Valley. He's using Black Locust (that he planted with NRCS Cost-share) to not only provide shade but fodder. Fodder by hinge-cutting branches such that they stay attached and succulent but reach the mouth of the ruminants. Check out the pics.
