Steve, Do you have more information on the "Treeline 2" insulators in the photos? Looks like they're held on with a bungee type strap? Where do you get them, and what do they cost? Are they "temporary" or permanent?
They are held on with a weather resistant rubber rope made spcifically for this application. The insulators incorporate a quick attach feature for the rope so they can be easily attached, adjusted or taken down. So they can be left up for years for permanent fencing or easily removed for temporary fencing. More information about the products and where you can purchase can be found on our website at www.expand farm products.com. We designed them specifically for this application to solve all the problems associated with trying to fence in wooded areas on our farm such as digging post holes with rocks and roots, and having to cut trees out of the fence line. We have had them up on our farm for four years and they have some great advantages like when a branch falls on the wire or when a deer runs into the fence there is enough give in the rubber rope so the fence wire will spring back in place rather than the wire or insulators breaking. They retail at 49 for twenty insulators and 50 foot of rubber rope which provides 30 inches of rope per tree more than enough rope for an average and diverse tree lot. You will be amazed at how easy it is to put up a fence and how versatile they are. I am excited about them and I think you will be too. Feel free to give me a call or email if you have any questions at all. Steve
