Please describe, with two or three sentences, why you are interested in silvopasture. Your answer helps us ensure that only those people truly interested in silvopasture are added as members.
We run a women-owned, small Finn sheep and Nubian goat farm in semi-urban Massachusetts. Our property is 9 acres so efficiency is crucial.Looking to optimize pasture and forage for multi-species grazing with forest products = synergy. In process of working with Michael Downey of DCR, and NRCS to establish silvopasture in my forest, to mitigate effects of climate change while raising registered purebred heritage livestock as organically as possible. Need specific information which is in abundance here,(yes, looking at planting apple trees), as well as technical support and optimism. Thanks.
