Event Description

Join the Yale Forest Forum on Thursday, September 24 at 12pm EDT for the next webinar in our fall 2020 series Frontiers in Agroforestry, hosted by ELTI and the Yale Forests. YFF’s third virtual speaker is Dr. Rico Hübner, of the Technical University of Munich and the European Agroforestry Federation. Dr. Hübner’s research focuses on sustainable agriculture, renewable energies, and agricultural policy.

In his talk entitled, Agroforestry in Germany: Diverse systems between the CAP, climate change adaptation and innovative farmers, Dr. Hübner will share characteristics, advantages, and challenges for traditional and modern agroforestry systems in Germany. In the second part the most influential aspects of the governance system around agroforestry in Germany will be explained, with a focus on the European Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), its practical impacts at the level of the regions, and the use of agri-environmental and climate interventions.

Feel welcome to bring your lunch, as we would typically eat together during this longstanding lunch series. This session will be virtual and recorded.

Wish I could attend. Is there a way to get notifications of events more than a day in advance?

Bill,

Sorry for the short notice on this, it's largely on my part not catching up to computer work each week. The series occurs each Thursday at Noon EST this fall until the final talk on November 19th.

The series is being recorded and I will post the link to these recordings when they're posted later in the semester.
