owner/producer
Please describe, with two or three sentences, why you are interested in silvopasture. Your answer helps us ensure that only those people truly interested in silvopasture are added as members.
I am studyng European methods of "air meadow" tree fodder producton through cyclical pruning of native tree species above browse height in, creating increased Foliage Height Diversity, tree longevity, and species counts. My dairy goats produce milk from fresh greenery only, May through October, and are grain-free year round. I have been feeding freshly pruned tree matter and grass hay in winter, but am beginning to harvest and store twig leaf hay in traditional sheaves, which will reduce or eliminate our dependence on purchased grass hay.

Hello Shana here int the tropics we have and use several native tree species, either by pruning or by letting the animals feed directly from the tree-shrub. My silvopasture operation is with cattle (brahman), natural pasture and shrubs, and in some occasions  we use leaf feeding from bushes or from pruning trees.
